About these case studies
Maui.Tech is a multimedia project capturing rohe-based climate change insights from across the motu through video case studies.
These 12 video case studies were produced between 2021 and 2023.
Each case study showcases te ao Māori views on, and experiences of, climate change – sharing examples of applied mātauranga Māori, technology and innovation for mitigation and adaptation.
Participants across Te Taitokerau, Te Tai Hauāuru, Te Tairāwhiti, Te Tau Ihu and Waiariki / Te Arawa Waka contributed their insights, experiences and stories to these case studies.
The videos showcase evidence and insights from whānau, hapū, iwi, ahuwhenua trusts, and other Māori-collectives, from different tribal rohe and with different asset and resource profiles – including agriculture, forestry, geothermal, and coastal.
These case studies form part of the wider evidence base we consider in our work as a Commission. They continue to provide us with a body of localised mātauranga Māori and expert evidence we can refer to as we develop, refine and test our work.
The case studies are published on the Videos section of our site. Links to these are listed below, grouped by region for easier browsing.
Alternatively, you can explore all Maui.Tech videos on Vimeo.
